Rhonda Abbott BlevinsHi! I'm Rhonda Abbott Blevins, associate pastor of congregational life. My family and I have been part of the Tellico Village Community Church family since October, 2007. Prior to moving here I served for two years with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of Kentucky as their missions coordinator, and seven years before that as a campus minister at the University of Georgia. It's good to finally serve once again in a local parish!

Moving to Tellico Village was like coming home to me, having grown up in Maryville just 30 minutes away. I still have lots of family in Maryville and in Townsend where my parents grew up. There's nowhere I'd rather be than East Tennessee, and I think Tellico Village is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I'm married to a Kentucky boy named Terry (though I'm slowly converting him into a Tennessee Volunteer). Together we have an incredible kid named Jake. Terry also has three very cool adult children: Mardy and Bien, who live in Los Angeles, and Marilou, from Lexington, Kentucky.

When we have a little free time, we love to hike and camp, travel, snow ski, and scuba dive. We love a good pizza, a night at the movies, and the many wonderful babysitters we've found! I also like playing the guitar and listening to a good folk singer.

Check out my blog I call "Preaching Hope." I titled my blog that because that's precisely what I want the mark of my ministry to be: hope. When you cut through the doctrine that divides and the doubts inherent in the life of any thinking Christian, that's what's left: hope.

Thanks for stopping by! May God grant you hope for the living of these days!
