The Season of Advent...

For millions of Christians around the world, Christmas is more than just a one-day holiday - it's a whole season!

Beginning four Sundays before Christmas Day, the Season of Advent provides a special time of preparation for the celebration of Christ's birth. On each Sunday, we light the Advent Wreath with its four candles of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. Then come Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when that special moment finally arrives and the Savior's birth takes center stage. Beautiful candlelighting services, pageants, carols and other special expressions of worship may be experienced in churches around the globe..

Even then, the season of Christmas is not yet over! It continues for twelve more days to the feast of Epiphany which is the celebration commemorating the arrival of the Magi to worship the Christ child. Epiphany means "manifestation" and signifies that God's love is made manifest in the worship of the Wise Men from the East as a love for the entire world, not just a small part of it.

Many wonderful activities, services and events are offered at Tellico Village Community Church during this special time of year. Click on a link to see!
