Pat Provart Shines in Final Performance!

With a brilliant presentation of Tom Fettke's cantata "How Great Our Joy!", Music Director Pat Provart has concluded eleven years of faithful ministry at Tellico Village Community Church.

The Sanctuary was filled Sunday night with worshipers who were deeply moved by a wonderful presentation of the Christmas story. With music and drama accompanied by orchestra, "How Great Our Joy!" provided a beautiful backdrop for appreciating the tremendous job Pat has done developing our music ministry and providing the congregation with music that uplifts and inspires.

Pat began her ministry as Music Director in 1998 following the retirement of Ann Trentham Nestor who had founded the Community Church choir some ten years earlier. Mrs. Provart first joined our staff as the church's organist in 1990. During Pat's tenure, the Chancel Choir has grown to 80-voices, two Handbell Choirs were developed with the hiring of Joy Merder, and many smaller ensembles were formed. Pat also initiated contacts in the larger music community to find Knoxville area musicians to provide orchestral accompaniment for major presentations.

With a rousing standing ovation at the conclusion of "How Great Our Joy", the overflowing sanctuary of worshipers expressed their great appreciation for Pat and all the musicians, singers, actors and support personnel who made the performance possible.

We wish Pat and her husband Bob all the blessings of God as they enjoy their retirement years!
