The Music Ministry of Tellico Village Community Church invites you to join us in participating in the worship of God through music. Whether you are a singer, bell-ringer, instrumentalist, or simply a listener, we hope you will allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you through song, as we make our offerings of art, music and prayer to the Lord our God.
Chancel Choir The Chancel Choir leads in worship each Sunday at the 10:15 worship service, performs in special services throughout the church year, and performs concerts of sacred music. The choir performs a wide variety of music from many historical traditions as well as new anthem literature written in the choral tradition. The Choir rehearses each Wednesday evening from 7:00- 9:00 and is open to anyone who reads music and can sing their part in choral music. Childcare is provided for all rehearsals and services. Sacred Arts Each year the Community Church offers and hosts concerts and services of sacred music for the congregation and surrounding communities. As well as offering seasonal programs and concerts performed by our own musicians, we host guest musicians and ensembles from around the country and our own community. Handbells The Praise and Celebration Handbell Choirs meet each Tuesday afternoon. They are made up of intermediate to advanced ringers selected by interview with the director. The choirs perform regularly in worship and participate in area handbell festivals. The choirs perform on a five ½ octave set of Schulmerich handbells, supplemented by a four octave set of Malmark bells and five octaves of handchimes.
Children’s Music Music for children will began in September 2011 to provide a musical/spiritual opportunity for our growing children’s ministry. Pre-School and 1st-5th grade choirs are being developed for this ministry. These groups will focus on teaching worship skills and spiritual truths through music, movement, drama and instruments.
